What is EPR?

French EPR Law (AGEC): Since 2022, producers placing regulated products on the French market must comply with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

What is UIN?

A UIN (Unique Identification Number) is your official ID for French EPR.

It shows you are registered with the right French PRO.
You need one UIN per product category (e.g., packaging, batteries, WEEE).
It’s used for reporting and compliance with French EPR rules.

Who is a “Producer” in French EPR?

A Producer is any company that places products on the French market, including:

Manufacturers — companies that make the products.
Importers — companies that bring products from outside France.
Distributors / Online sellers — if they sell under their own brand or rebrand the product.
